Inside College Admissions: How to Write Great College Essays

Many great high school students write average or “ok” college essays. This workshop will show students what college admission officers are looking for in great college essays, common pitfalls to avoid, and learn how to write thoughtful, well-constructed college essays that can highlight their unique personality and offer suggestions for finding and sharing best stories.
Seminar will include comparing the different types of essay prompts, reviewing several essays and discussing what makes them exceptional, brainstorming, drafting and revising. Personal feedback will be provided for any completed essay drafts.
Participants should bring a laptop computer or tablet with them for this hands-on workshop!
